As a Practice Manager you will promote and govern excellent practice, developing the social workers/practitioners you supervise individually and in group supervision. You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting practitioners to make decisions about children and families within your team and provide effective and purposeful social work.
You will actively champion the delivery of The Motivational Practice model, developing excellent practitioners by shaping and leading the practice within your team. You will provide strengths-based observation and coaching of direct practice, ensuring that statutory requirements for your team’s cases are completed to a high standard.
You will ensure that children are placed in appropriate placements, that they are well supervised and supported and that placements are of high quality. You will ensure that foster carers feel supported, retained and that permanence for children is promoted effectively with the right support plan for every child. You will ensure that the service works closely with the North London Fostering and Special Guardianship arrangements promoting the best use of services. For the Permanence Practice manager to work closely with the Regional adoption agency promoting permanence through adoption where appropriate, reducing delay. For this role, you will carry a permanence planning and family finding caseload while supervising 2.7 workers
