Job Details

To provide administrative support across the whole of the Attendance and Children Out of School Team.
To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of policy and procedures within the, Attendance and Children Out of School Team in addition to some other services within the Education Participation and Pupil Support Service
• Schools & early years settings,
• Post 16 providers,
• Parents,
• Young people,
• Other stakeholders
To be a first point of contact for schools and parents with enquiries relating to the
service area and to respond appropriately. To support managers in the organisation of meetings, including the distribution of
related information, taking minutes and following up actions. To respond to enquiries and requests for information from internal and external sources
in a timely and responsive manner, with regard to data protection procedures. To undertake a range of administrative and financial duties including managing inboxes, word processing and IT based tasks for Attendance, Children Missing Education, Elective Home Education, Fair Access Protocol, Exclusions, Licensing, statutory duties, Penalty Notices, Prosecution, Part- Time Times Tables and the traded service.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Deal with enquiries and incoming calls within defined limits from colleagues and the public (Cheshire East Standards) and refer as necessary to members of staff to ensure consistency of treatment of such enquiries. Undertake specific administrative tasks e.g. make appointments, draft correspondence, type letters and arrange meetings to facilitate the effective operation of the team. Input and maintain monitoring and data analysis systems in relation to children and
families to ensure the provision of accurate and up to date information for effective
management decisions to be taken. Prepare agendas and take minutes of meetings and ensure distribution and follow up work is completed within timescales in order that the time of the team is used efficiently and effectively.

NVQ level 3, or equivalent, in a relevant field
