Vale of glamorgan are looking for an business support officer To process invoices for Building & Housing Services including invoices from stores, ensuring correctly authorized and batched for payment within set corporate timescales. Dealing with queries from suppliers and chasing up outstanding invoices. (RQ1297933)

 

  • Raising orders with agreed suppliers and assisting the Business Support Co-Ordinator – Operations with the procurement of materials and supplies in accordance with Council’s procurement policy.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of a network of suppliers for building services ensuring that best value is achieved.
  • To process information/ data from mobile working system to facilitate job progression through all stages from raising jobs to completion of works and payment of general orders.
  • To update and process information/ data in respect of non-mobile working to facilitate job progression though all work stages from raising jobs to completion of works and payment of general orders.
  • Maintenance of relevant employee records within the service to include timesheets, flexible working, leave, sickness absence and training information.
  • To assist with the control management and maintenance of statistical data and information required by the section for performance and benchmarking purposes to ensure relevance, timeliness and accuracy. To assist with the provision of management / financial reporting.
  • To provide support to the Business Support Co-ordinator Operations ensuring car parking monies are counted and made ready for collection by G4S in a timely manner.
  • To provide customer facing duties and support in respect of a building maintenance service for schools, corporate properties, public housing. Provision of general office duties including office administration, customer care, consultation, surveys and complaints management.
  • Ensure compliance with the Council’s Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures
  • To implement the principles of the Council’s Equal Opportunity Policy whilst carrying out the above duties
  • To adhere to Health and Safety legislation / relevant Council policies and procedures and to take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be adversely affected by your acts / omissions.

Payrate: £14.50 umbrella
