- To assist with the administration of Court of Protection and Appointee cases on behalf of the nominated Deputy/Appointee for Lincolnshire CC
- To be responsible for managing an allocated caseload from new referral through to day to day maintenance referring to the Deputy/Adult Care workers where required for authorisations
- To follow procedures around deceased cases in a timely manner
- To ensure that all entitlements to benefits and other income is correctly managed and claimed on behalf of the service user, seeking professional advice where appropriate
- To complete the reconciliation and updating of client bank accounts on the case management system
- To ensure monies are promptly claimed and liabilities paid
- To manage weekly diary activities, daily bank reconciliation, processing of invoices, personal allowances through online banking or issue of cheques as appropriate and cash provision
- To ensure the timely and correct handling of all incoming correspondence and emails on a daily basis, and to undertake filing and file maintenance for the team
- To take telephone enquiries providing advice or referring to other members of the team as appropriate.
- To assist in the maintenance and updating of the case management system.
- To assist in the ongoing review of procedures and share learning with colleagues in order to create continuous approach
- To assist in the development and maintenance of record keeping systems in respect of the inventory of client possessions held
- To maintain effective working relationships and communications with the main stakeholders in the administration of both the Deputyship and Appointeeship role
- To perform other duties, which reasonably correspond to the general character and level of responsibility for this post
