Project Manager (Major Project)

Job Details

  • Lead and project manage capital investment projects to Haringey’s council housing stock, ensuring successful delivery and that contract conditions are complied with, that budgets and timetables are adhered to, that high-quality standards and value for money are maintained and that statutory, regulatory and Council requirements are delivered at all times.
  • Develop project briefs and budgets and commission contractors and technical consultants to deliver works and services, ensuring that client instructions are issued in a timely manner and that prompt and appropriate action is taken when problems arise to ensure that the interests of Haringey Council and its residents are properly protected at all times.
  • Ensure high standards of project administration are maintained at all times, that comprehensive, accurate, and up to date project documentation is available at all times and are kept in accordance with Council policies, processes, procedures and reporting methods and are systematically archived at the conclusion of each project.
  • Monitor project performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), project spend, management information, project budgets and financial forecasts and other project information and prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for project and Asset Management teams, boards, senior managers and others as required and attend board and committee meetings when required.
  • Develop and deliver resident engagement and project communication plans, achieve high levels of resident satisfaction and attend resident meetings and liaise with individual residents ensuring that residents are kept fully informed at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, contractual requirements and Council governance policies, processes and procedures at all times and that there are robust monitoring and change control mechanisms are in place.
  • Lead and manage, complaints, members enquiries, ombudsman enquiries, freedom of information and leaseholder and tenant information requests.
  • Ensure compliance with all leaseholder legislation, produce detailed Section 20 notices for the works that will be undertaken, ensure leaseholder consultation is effectively managed
