Job Purpose:
● To work consistently with colleagues across the HR Business Partnering Service to provide administrational support with ER case work (investigations and panels) HRBP activities (reorganisations, workforce planning etc)
● To ensure a high quality, professional, friendly customer experience both internally across the HR&OD and wider across the Council when undertaking work related activities.
● To grow and develop as a HR professional through observations, experience and training to provide advice, guidance and resolve HR queries.
Key duties:
1. To provide administrational support internally across the HRBP service to ensure smooth business continuity, good record keeping and processing work activities that support the delivery of HRBP strategies and plans, ensuring alignment to directorate objectives and contributing to the commitments in the Council delivery plan.
2. To organise and maintain files, folders and sub folders securely, are easy to navigate and iscompliant with the Councils, data retention policy i.e. workforce plans, reorganisation projects,
TUPE programmes, casework records and business as usual resources.
3. To support the ER manager and ER advisors with casework planning including scheduling meetings, taking notes, room arrangements etc. efficiency to support work activities.
4. To support HRBP/Strategic HRBP with business partnering assistant i.e. scheduling work programmes across the year, supporting on specific projects and programmes i.e. TUPE reorganisations.
5. To support HRBP service with internal processes, i.e. setting up vendors, processing invoices, data capture, quality assurance of case work, responding to other HR&OD requests.
6. To maintain high levels of confidentiality and ensure all HR data records are accurate, up to date and support any key performance indicators or data analysis.
7. To develop confidence and experience in providing HR advice and guidance to HR colleagues, line managers and employees on staffing issues relating to both individuals which supports and promotes the employee experience.
8. To develop confidence and experience to coach, assist and advise managers where required to undertake effective investigations including how to interview, record and gather relevant information to support effective investigation reports in line with policy and procedure.
9. To work collaboratively across our HR teams by sharing resources to achieve key priorities, undertake projects and assist on partnership activities.
10. To champion and proactively support the implementation of the Council’s vision to be an evermore inclusive, anti-racist organisation and model positive behaviours that demonstrate the Council’s values.
11. To ensure that all duties and responsibilities are discharged in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures, and any relevant legislation and regulation.
