Experienced in leading and managing land and property redevelopments, One Team are looking for someone with the knowledge and skills to manage the end-to-end process from feasibility, business case, options development and appraisal, stakeholder consultation, site co-ordination (including assisting in site disposal and acquisition process) and development preparation (procurement, tendering and contract appointments etc) to deliver the development and regeneration of some existing small and medium sized Council land and property assets.
Experience preferably in the public sector, the roles (within the Council’s Assets & Investment Team) will work across both Councils and would suit an experienced, trained and qualified individuals with RICS or appropriate construction / regeneration related qualifications and knowledge of RIBA stages), motivated to work across a range of stakeholder to delivery regeneration schemes to the communities of Brentwood Borough and Rochford District.
The temporary role (min 9 months with room to extend) will be on a 4-5 days per week basis, 2-3 days of which will be within the Brentwood and Rochford area of Essex (on-site and in the office) working with Members, colleagues and stakeholders to deliver schemes at pace.
Daily Rate – £480 – £500 per day. Immediate start.
The job role will include –
JOB ROLE – REDEVELOPMENT AND REGENERATION MANAGER
- To lead on the preparation of feasibility studies, developing options and preparing business cases in respect of small to medium sized redevelopment and regeneration schemes of existing Council land and property assets.
- To lead and work collaboratively with all stakeholders (Members, colleagues and the community) to specify and develop schemes for Council owned land and property assets for regeneration purposes.
- Commission, procure and manage specialist consultants to assist with design, planning and site preparation.
- Asist in the procurement of a delivery partner where appropriate.
- Support, develop and advise on redevelopment and regeneration schemes with regards feasibility and options appraisals, seeking appropriate valuations and suite surveys as appropriate.
- Consider planning, contractual and legal issues rand processes regarding the proposed regeneration and development of sites within Brentwood Borough and Rochford District Councils.
- To positively contribute to the end-to-end process of delivering medium sized redevelopment and regeneration schemes.
- Work in conjunction with appointed consultants and contractors to ensure works are delivered on time and in accordance with project outcomes.
- Write reports and provide verbal and written updates to Senior Managers and Members on small and medium sized regeneration and redevelopment projects.
- Manage and co-ordinate the work of consultants and contractors in the delivery of schemes.
- Support the disposal and acquisition process linked to regeneration opportunities.
