Umbrella Rate – £37.11 an hour

This period closes on Friday November 14 2025 at 9:00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate children’s functional abilities, sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, and daily living skills.

  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on assessment outcomes.

  • Provide interventions to support children with developmental delays, sensory integration issues, coordination difficulties, or physical disabilities.

  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.

  • Set measurable goals and track progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.

  • Educate and train families and caregivers in therapy techniques for home carryover.

  • Document assessments, interventions, and progress notes in accordance with professional and organizational standards.

  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development activities.

  • Contribute to program development and service improvement initiatives within the department.

  • Stay up to date with current research and evidence-based practices in paediatric occupational therapy.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).

  • Current registration with [HCPC / AHPRA / relevant professional body].

  • Minimum [1–3] years of experience working with children in clinical, educational, or community settings.

  • Experience with sensory integration, autism spectrum disorders, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), and/or physical disabilities preferred.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
