Job Details

We are looking for a passionate and committed Case Manager to join our Youth Justice Service. You will work with children and young people who have offended or are at risk of offending, supporting them to make positive changes and reduce reoffending.

This is a rewarding role where you will build strong relationships, deliver interventions, and work closely with families and partner agencies to improve outcomes for young people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the risks and needs of young people using recognised tools (e.g. AssetPlus)
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people subject to court orders, bail, or custody
  • Deliver targeted 1-to-1 and group interventions (e.g. offending behaviour, victim awareness, life skills)
  • Prepare high-quality reports for court and attend hearings when required
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies including social care, education, police, and health services
  • Support young people with education, training, accommodation, and wellbeing needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation
  • Contribute to safeguarding, risk management, and public protection

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children and young people, particularly those at risk or involved in offending
  • Understands youth justice, safeguarding, and risk management
  • Can build positive relationships with young people and families
  • Is confident writing reports and presenting information clearly
  • Works well both independently and as part of a multi-agency team
  • Is organised, resilient, and able to manage a varied caseload

Essential Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in Social Work, Youth Justice, Probation, Youth Work, or a related field
  • Experience working in a criminal justice, youth justice, or social care setting
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices
