Birmingham have a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Birmingham team with a potential for hybrid working. You will be working on a wide range of interesting projects including new building and retrofit housing, new build/refurbishment projects in education.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor your role will involve:
- Preparing budget estimates, cost planning and tendering procedures and contract arrangements.
- Formulating briefs, fee proposals, presentation of schemes, and/or services and project programming
- Preparing tendering documents; examining tenders received and reporting thereon or negotiating tenders and pricing.
- Preparing recommendations for interim payments, prepare regular assessments of anticipated final cost and reporting thereon; measure work and adjusting variation in accordance with the terms of the contract and prepare final account, pricing same and agreeing totals with the Contractor.
- Attending various project/technical meetings and the taking, preparation an distribution of Minutes.
- Preparing Microsoft Project Programmes.
- Day to day management and execution of project work.
Candidates will ideally have:
- MRCIS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Building)
- 5+ post-qualification experience
- Excellent client interface skills
- Experience with housing or education projects
