Violence And Vulnerabilities Coordinator

Job Details

  1. Coordinate the activity of various partners and interventions to ensure that services are delivered effectively and communities protected from violence and vulnerabilities.
  2. Support the Community Safety Manager with the Safer Brent Partnership (SBP) Priorities to reduce violence and vulnerability priorities, relating specially to Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) as well as gangs, serious violence, knife crime issues and related crimes, also other relevant priorities of the partnership which may emerge.
  3. Working with partners across a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies, responsible for coordinating the strategic and operational delivery of the SBP Violence and Vulnerability action plans; in line with the SBP’s priorities.
  4. With support from the Community Safety Manager, ensure that the SBP violence and vulnerability targets are met; via collaborative implementation and development plans across Brent.
  5. Monitor issues or gaps in violence and vulnerability provision for Brent.
  6. Coordinate monitoring and reporting on commissioned services and outcomes.
  7. With support from the Community Safety Manager, you will offer oversight and ensure efficient coordination, development and effective partnership case management panels are in place to tackle Brent violence and vulnerability issues (e.g. Exploitation Violence and Vulnerability panel)..
  8. Working with the key stakeholders and community leaders to continually monitor and assess local need and assess gaps in V&V provision.
  9. Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that robust and holistic interventions are in place to reduce victimisation relating to all violence and vulnerablity related crimes, including VAWG, Serious Youth Violence and gang and knife crimes and increase victim support.Liaising with Criminal Justice partners (Police, Courts, and Prisons) to ensure that robust and holistic action is taken to reduce offending relating to violence and vulnerablity related crimes, including VAWG and gang crimes and increase conviction rates for offenders.
  10. Supporting the delivery of the statutory obligations of the Safer Brent Partnership (CSP) and to help ensure the requirements in relation to Section 17 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 are embedded in the Council and are prioritised across the partnership.
