Job Details

To help keep the Council’s buildings, staff, and visitors safe from fire by ensuring fire safety laws are followed, identifying risks, and providing expert advice and training.

Develop and maintain fire safety policies and standards, keeping them up to date with changes in legislation and best practice.
Develop and deliver fire safety training to improve staff awareness and safe working practices.
Prepare fire safety reports, risk assessments, and CAD fire safety plans to document findings and required actions.
Provide expert fire safety advice to managers and staff, ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation.
Identify fire hazards and recommend practical solutions to reduce or eliminate fire risks.
Carry out fire risk assessments and fire safety inspections across Council buildings and work activities.
