ACRO Office Clerk

Job Details

Working within the ACRO Criminal Records Office (ACRO) to provide a range of clerical services to support the office, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  1. To use and maintain a variety of manual and computerized record keeping systems, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the data stored.
  2. The Potholder will be required to transcribe information from electronic and paper documents in an accurate and timely manner. This information will be input into Spreadsheets or in-house electronic filing systems.
  3. To manage electronic and paper filing systems; including creation of electronic folders and destruction of documents in line with the proper file management procedures.
  4. To quality assure the accuracy of uploaded information.
  5. To send emails by amending/populating templates and/or via the in-house database messaging systems.

7.   To give regular and effective service

Additional for Intelligence post – To search ACRO database systems and systems that the Intelligence unit have access to in order to benefit law enforcement.

Additional for Post Room post – To process incoming and outgoing post for both internal and external stakeholders.

Additional for Finance post – To accurately process, verify and reconcile incoming payments following financial procedures and provide a high attention to detail and accuracy to assigned financial tasks.

This role profile is designed to assist role holders with understanding what is expected of them in their role.  ACRO may ask them to undertake other duties, as required, which are not necessarily specified on the role profile but which are commensurate with the grade of the role. The role profile itself may be amended from time to time within the scope and general level of responsibility attached to the role.

The pay per hour is £14 an hour.
