Adaptation Surveyor

Job Details

We are looking for an Adaptations Surveyor who can assist in the delivery of adaptations and improvement works, via funding sources such as Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs). The post holder is responsible for contributing towards the design and delivery of home improvements and adaptations for residents, as well as being responsible for providing quality control, customer liaison on site and contractor monitoring to deliver and develop the service effectively.

 The jobholder will be expected to:

  • Assist in the design and delivery of adaptations and improvement works, utilising AutoCAD.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely, to the required legislation and regulations.
  • Provide support with the management of contractor frameworks and act as CDM lead.
  • Keep accurate records and assist colleagues across the service as directed. 

The role will involving working closely with colleagues within the team, as well as Occupational Therapists, clients and contractors.

 The post does not hold managerial responsibilities, although the professional support, guidance and mentoring of colleagues may be required from time to time. The post holder will not have direct responsibility as a budget holder, although through procurement, tender and contracts they are responsible for ensure that all works achieve best value. 

The post holder will be required to travel to site visits regularly. This role is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This role involves spoken communications so a confident use of English language is required.
