About the Role

Ceredigion County Council is looking for a skilled and motivated Chartered Surveyor / Valuer to join its Assets team within the Economy and Regeneration service.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing the Council’s property portfolio, delivering valuation services, and supporting regeneration and economic development projects across the county.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a wide range of property valuations, including the annual asset valuation programme
  • Manage and support the Council’s property and estates portfolio, including surplus assets
  • Lead and support property negotiations including acquisitions, disposals, leases, easements, and wayleaves
  • Provide professional valuation and property advice to internal departments and stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of economic development and regeneration projects
  • Prepare reports and attend committees and working groups
  • Supervise and support team members where required
  • Ensure compliance with **RICS standards and relevant legislation

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced property professional with strong technical and interpersonal skills.

Essential requirements:

  • MRICS qualified and a RICS Registered Valuer
  • Degree (or equivalent) in an estates-related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and property legislation
  • Experience in property negotiations and estate management
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence
