About the Role
Ceredigion County Council is looking for a skilled and motivated Chartered Surveyor / Valuer to join its Assets team within the Economy and Regeneration service.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing the Council’s property portfolio, delivering valuation services, and supporting regeneration and economic development projects across the county.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake a wide range of property valuations, including the annual asset valuation programme
- Manage and support the Council’s property and estates portfolio, including surplus assets
- Lead and support property negotiations including acquisitions, disposals, leases, easements, and wayleaves
- Provide professional valuation and property advice to internal departments and stakeholders
- Support the delivery of economic development and regeneration projects
- Prepare reports and attend committees and working groups
- Supervise and support team members where required
- Ensure compliance with **RICS standards and relevant legislation
About You
We are looking for a confident and experienced property professional with strong technical and interpersonal skills.
Essential requirements:
- MRICS qualified and a RICS Registered Valuer
- Degree (or equivalent) in an estates-related discipline
- Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and property legislation
- Experience in property negotiations and estate management
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
- Full UK driving licence
