Role Summary

The role is based within the Housing Property Service which is responsible for the delivery of repairs, maintenance, investment and compliance functions within the Council’s housing asset portfolio. The key aim of the role is to provide key support to the team to ensure we maintain compliance in statutory landlord compliance areas and health and safety.

The post will be responsible for the following:

1. Data collection, analysis and monitoring for statutory compliance functions.
2. Ensuring robust compliance data is available on the system including data validation working across various teams to ensure data accuracy.
3. Producing reports and spreadsheets detailing compliance performance .
4. Provide administrative support to the Compliance, Health and Safety Team as and when required.
5. Preparing legal packs to obtain access to properties to ensure compliance responsibilities are met.
6. Ensuring compliance data within our data base is updated and current including testing and remedial works.
7. Working with contractors to order and oversee remedial works.
8. Monitoring and following up on remedial actions to meet compliance requirements.
9. Liaising with tenants and area housing teams to organise appointments for compliance works.
10. Progress ‘no access’ process where previous access attempts have been unsuccessful.
11. Take minutes of compliance meetings and follow up documented actions.

Pay rate: £15.40 per hour umbrella

Three to six months contract with view to extend or make permanent
