Damp & Mould Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to carry out full property inspections, diagnose condensation and damp issues, and specify effective remedial solutions across residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed surveys to identify damp, mould, and condensation issues
- Diagnose root causes and recommend appropriate remedial works
- Produce reports, specifications, drawings, and floor plans
- Use diagnostic equipment (e.g. moisture meters) and carry out seasonal monitoring
- Manage works from specification through to completion, including contractor supervision
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and statutory standards
- Carry out post-inspections, approve completed works, and resolve invoice queries
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams, handling queries and complaints professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in damp/mould surveying or building surveying
- Strong knowledge of building construction and moisture-related defects
- Ability to diagnose issues and specify repair solutions
- Experience managing contractors and overseeing works
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Empathetic approach when dealing with residents
