Job Title: Domestic and Commercial Maintenance Electrician
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified electrician with experience working across a range of domestic and commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, installations, and routine testing of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems to ensure compliance with current regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform routine testing and inspection of fire alarm systems.
- Conduct emergency lighting testing and ensure systems remain compliant.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and test records accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Provide professional and effective customer service when working in occupied properties.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified electrician with relevant industry certifications.
- Experience working within both domestic and commercial environments.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of fire alarm and emergency lighting testing procedures.
- Good understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with inspection and testing.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Familiarity with maintaining accurate compliance records and reports.
