Job Title: Family Support Worker (Front Door Service)

Overview
We are seeking a Family Support Worker to join our Front Door Service, acting as the first point of contact for referrals relating to children and families. You will play a key role in screening concerns, assessing risk, and ensuring families receive the right support at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen and triage incoming referrals, identifying levels of need and risk
  • Assess safeguarding concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners (e.g. schools, health, police)
  • Communicate directly with families, offering guidance and signposting to early help services
  • Maintain accurate records and respond to information requests in a timely, professional manner
  • Support effective decision-making to ensure child safety and wellbeing

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and families or within early help/safeguarding settings
  • Understanding of risk assessment and safeguarding principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritise effectively
  • Confident working in a multi-agency environment
