Job Title: Lead Finance Officer – NPH

Department: Finance | Reports to: Strategic Finance Business Partner – HRA

Role Summary

The Lead Finance Officer provides strategic and operational finance leadership across NPH. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations, delivers accurate reporting, and supports business decisions through analysis, forecasting, and KPI monitoring. You will lead a small finance team, provide business partnering to budget holders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the finance team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Act as a finance business partner, supporting budget holders with reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Manage budgets, monitor spend, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support rent reviews and setting for new and existing properties.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs to support decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional excellence.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (CCAB, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with ongoing professional development.
  • Strong experience in management accounting, statutory accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Advanced Excel and financial system skills.
  • Experience in housing, public sector, or social landlord finance preferred.
