HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver/Loader
Location: Brentwood, CM13 3BH
Pay: £17.78 per hour PAYE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver/Loader to join a waste collection team in Brentwood. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely driving an HGV Class 2 refuse vehicle and assisting with the collection and loading of household waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive an HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
- Follow designated waste collection routes and schedules.
- Assist with loading and emptying household waste bins.
- Operate refuse collection and compaction equipment safely.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Work effectively as part of a refuse collection team.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to residents.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- Previous refuse/waste collection experience is desirable.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
