Job Title: Housing Officer – Neighbourhoods
Purpose of the Role
To manage a designated patch of properties, delivering high-quality housing management services, supporting tenants, and ensuring tenancies are sustained and neighbourhoods are well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day housing management within a defined area
- Act as the main point of contact for tenants, providing advice and support
- Carry out tenancy-related processes including property lettings and tenancy terminations
- Conduct estate and property inspections to ensure standards are maintained
- Manage low-level anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches
- Process and approve invoices in line with procedures
- Raise and manage recharges for tenant-related damages or costs
- Liaise with internal teams (repairs, income, support services) and external partners
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation
Skills & Experience
- Experience in housing management or tenancy services
- Knowledge of tenancy processes (lettings, terminations, recharges)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good organisational and administrative ability
- Ability to manage a varied workload and make sound decisions
