Job Title: Housing Officer – Neighbourhoods

Purpose of the Role

To manage a designated patch of properties, delivering high-quality housing management services, supporting tenants, and ensuring tenancies are sustained and neighbourhoods are well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day housing management within a defined area
  • Act as the main point of contact for tenants, providing advice and support
  • Carry out tenancy-related processes including property lettings and tenancy terminations
  • Conduct estate and property inspections to ensure standards are maintained
  • Manage low-level anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches
  • Process and approve invoices in line with procedures
  • Raise and manage recharges for tenant-related damages or costs
  • Liaise with internal teams (repairs, income, support services) and external partners
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in housing management or tenancy services
  • Knowledge of tenancy processes (lettings, terminations, recharges)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good organisational and administrative ability
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and make sound decisions
