Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are looking for an Housing Property Compliance Manager to manage a team of compliance officers and surveyors ensuring we maintain compliance in statutory landlord compliance areas such as gas safety, electrical safety, water safety, asbestos, fire safety, damp and mould and lift maintenance. The team will also monitor compliance in other areas of housing property services including the social housing regulatory standards and the housing asset portfolio.
- Accountable person for fire safety within the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Managing a team to develop and implement housing compliance related practices, processes, procedures and policies, ensuring they reflect best practice, follow statutory guidance, meet legal requirements, and are cost effective and are regularly reviewed and monitored.
- Ensuring key databases and support systems relevant to compliance including works orders, guarantees, and safety certificates are in place.
- Ensuring that robust processes and procedures for each area of compliance are in place and are regularly reviewed in line with legislation and statutory requirements.
- Managing a team of compliance officers including staff supervision, performance management, HR processes, mentoring and training.
- Overseeing a programme of quality assurance inspections to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with processes, policies and statutory requirements.
- Ensuring that effective processes are in place for an ongoing programme of remedial actions where compliance issues are identified ensuring that corrective actions are recorded, actioned and completed in a timely manner.
A recognised relevant professional qualification such as CIOB, NEBOSH, Institute of Asset Management, IOSH etc. and evidence of ongoing CPD in Health & Safety or an appropriate level of experience.
Extensive experience and a working knowledge of professional regulations relating to one or more of the following areas; Asbestos, Fire Risk, Legionella, Gas and Electricity Safety, Lifts, NEBOSH, CDM and EPA
