JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

To support the HR Operations team to deliver a professional and effective service to all departments across the force through consistent, detailed, and knowledgeable support to help achieve the People Strategy.

CORE WORK AREAS:

 

  1. Management of HR cases including but not exclusive to Attendance Managements, Flexible Working applications, Occupational Health referrals, Interest in acting processes, internal transfer processes, acting/temporary processes, etc. with support from the HR Advisers as required.
  2. Providing support to the HR Advisers and HR Business Partner on the management of limited duties processes including recuperative reviews, adjusted duties processes and adjusted duties annual reviews.
  3. Provide HR advice and guidance to Senior Leadership Teams and line managers on HR related matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, terms and conditions and policies and procedures.
  4. Supporting stakeholders with fairness at work and disciplinary processes.
  5. Ensure a comprehensive audit trail of case management, including updating systems, notetaking, preparation of formal letters, maintaining case files and ensuring a written record of decisions.
  6. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with strategic and operational Line Managers.
  7. General administration for systems, cross referencing case trackers to ensure consistency of information across all platforms and case files.
  8. Liaise with the payroll department to ensure timely receipt of information relating to contract and role changes.
  9. Supporting and working closely with Senior Leadership Teams on cases such as absence, limited duties and advising on establishment management.
  10. Produce data for Senior Leadership (or other) meetings as required.
  11. Support the wider HR team with tasks as required, carrying out any other duties that may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the role.
  12. Coordinating work activities for the HR Operations Team, answering general queries and distributing tasks as required.
