Senior HR Business Partner (Housing)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to support our Housing services, providing high-quality, strategic and operational HR expertise.

You will work closely with senior leaders to deliver effective people solutions, manage complex employee relations matters, and support organisational change. This is a key role in shaping and delivering a proactive, business-focused HR service.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to directors and managers within Housing
  • Lead on complex employee relations casework (including disciplinaries, grievances and TUPE)
  • Support and deliver organisational change initiatives, including restructures
  • Develop and implement HR policies in line with legislation and best practice
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including trade unions
  • Contribute to strategic workforce planning and service improvement
  • Line manage and support HR staff where required

About you

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role (HR Business Partner or similar)
  • Strong background in employee relations and complex casework
  • Experience working within the public sector and/or housing (desirable)
  • Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience)
