To provide a comprehensive, expert Employee Relations service to the service/business area assigned

To ensure the successful delivery of core Employee Relations activity across a department and across the Council as designated, whilst assisting the HR&OD partnering function across a service/ business area enabling the department (and the council) to deliver its business objectives.

To assist in the delivery of service improvements, engaging with a variety of stakeholders in the process, constantly and consistently challenging and devising new and improved ways to deliver business improvement and value for money across designated business groups.

About your duties

Provide a high quality, comprehensive Employee Relations service to a service or            services as the ‘ER expert’ as directed on a range of employment relations and             employment law matters and activity

To be responsible for advising and guiding managers through the Council’s range of        employment related policies, procedures and related employment law ensuring the       Council is operating best employment law and practice contributing to an effective     employee relations function

To draft comprehensive employment policies, procedures, guidance notes etc. as             required supporting best employment practice. To liaise with trade union and other stakeholders as part of the process seeking to reach agreement wherever possible.

To keep up to date with changes to employment law. To develop and deliver         training sessions on changes both for HR staff and managers across designated           service areas and corporately.

To support and implement departmental and corporate restructures as required.   Provide advice, guidance and support to TUPE transfers in and out of the organisation       ensuring best practice employment law is in place whilst facilitating these transfers.

Umbrella hourly rate : £27.84
