HR Recruitment Coordinator (3 months) to provide dedicated recruitment administration and coordination support for implementation of the Children & Education Services Target Operating Model (TOM)

Working alongside: A Recruitment Lead, Senior Programme Manager, Business Analysts, and Business Support resource(s) (one or two posts), supporting the wider transformation and mobilisation programme.

Reason for support: The TOM includes significant recruitment activity, appointments, onboarding and workforce changes which require focused operational support to ensure delivery at pace.

Role focus: To provide hands-on recruitment coordination and administration, ensuring all recruitment activity is accurately tracked, progressed quickly and completed within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and regularly update the recruitment tracker for all TOM-related vacancies.
  • Coordinate recruitment activity and monitor progress against agreed timelines.
  • Raise job requisitions using Oracle Fusion.
  • Arrange interview panels, co-ordinate diaries, send invites and book meetings rooms.
  • Coordinate communication with recruiting managers and candidates.
  • Process offers of employment and progress associated administration.
  • Lead and monitor pre-employment checks to ensure timely clearances.
  • Escalate delays, risks or issues that may impact appointment timelines.
  • Support onboarding arrangements to enable candidates to start as quickly as possible.
  • Ensure recruitment activity is compliant, accurate and aligned with HR processes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a recruitment administration, recruitment coordination or recruitment support role.
  • Experience managing recruitment activity accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting high-volume recruitment or workforce transformation programmes.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when progressing offers and pre-employment checks.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous recruitment experience within a Local Authority or wider public sector organisation would be beneficial
