Role Purpose

To be a member of the team working on the Children and Young People’s Service’s response to statutory Subject Access Requests by past or current service users or their representatives.

Main Responsibilities

1. Have an understanding of Data Protection and information governance legislative framework and best practice.

2. To collate, review and redact information for the directorate in line with our legal obligations for sharing with the public.

3. Identify potentially serious and/or complex issues, and refer these to the relevant social worker or team manager as relevant.

4. Deal with all customers, members and colleagues in accordance with the best principles of customer care.

5. Uphold and further the Council’s equal opportunities policies and to deliver effective and appropriate services fairly and without discrimination.

6. Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out with regard to the Council’s health and safety policies.

7. To work as part of a team under the direction of the Senior Information Sharing Officer.

Pay rate: £20.25 per hour umbrella

Three to six months contract with view to extend or make permanent
