| This role sits in Environment, a team that sits very much at the heart of the Council, delivering vital front-line services in a thriving and supportive workplace. As the interim Waste Manager you will be responsible for leading on the delivery of the council’s waste and recycling strategy and policies. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person who is able to communicate and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders to lead and manage positive environmental change. This is a temporary position cover a term of 1 year. The ideal candidate must have: • Demonstrable experience in waste and recycling management. • Experience of leading and managing a team • In-depth knowledge of waste and recycling legislation, policies and programmes • Ability to work autonomously with confidence and be-able to work well as part of a team • Excellent report writing and presentation skills • Experience in project management • Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office • Ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of data. • Hold a full driving licence and able to use own vehicle
