Job Details
As an IT Support Consultant for Brent Council, your primary responsibilities would include:
- Providing technical support to end-users within the council, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Responding to IT support requests via phone, email, or in-person and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Assisting with the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, and other networking equipment.
- Conducting user training sessions and creating documentation to help users understand and utilize IT systems effectively.
- Collaborating with other IT staff and departments to implement new technologies and systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensuring compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to safeguard sensitive information and systems.
- Participating in IT projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing technical expertise and support to achieve project goals.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in IT support and sharing knowledge with colleagues to enhance team performance.
