Job Title: Teaching Assistant (In-Class Support)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Initially for this half term, with the potential to extend for the right candidate
Location: School-based (in-class support)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide in-class support to pupils, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour, and pupil engagement throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities

Provide in-class support to pupils under the direction of the class teacher

Support individual pupils and small groups with learning activities

Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement

Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials

Support pupils with varying learning needs to access the curriculum

Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in lessons

Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Skills and Experience
-
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar classroom-based role (essential)

Ability to support learning across the curriculum

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience, empathy, and a calm approach to supporting pupils

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Additional Information
