About the Role

The Food Technology Technician will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning within the department. You will ensure practical lessons run smoothly by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and upholding health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, materials, and equipment for food technology lessons

• Support teachers and students during practical sessions

• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen/classroom environment

• Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies as required

• Ensure all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards are met

• Carry out routine maintenance of equipment and report faults

• Has experience working in a food preparation, catering, or school environment (desirable)

• Has knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations

• Is well-organised and able to manage time effectively

• Works well independently and as part of a team

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
