About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Secondary Teacher of Science to join Harris Academy Ockendon on a temporary supply basis.
This role will involve delivering engaging and high-quality Science lessons to secondary school students, supporting their learning and helping them achieve strong academic outcomes. The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive school environment and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages.

Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.

Follow school policies on behaviour management and safeguarding.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership.
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Science at secondary level.

Strong classroom management skills.

Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
