Kitchen Assistant – Allison House Residential Home

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, friendly and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support the catering team at Allison House Residential Home, helping provide nutritious meals and a welcoming dining experience for older residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing ingredients, meals, snacks and drinks.
• Help serve meals to residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Support the catering team with general kitchen duties.
• Respect residents’ individual dietary requirements and food preferences.

About You

• A positive, caring and reliable approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of kitchen cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Ability to work in a busy kitchen environment.
• Previous kitchen or catering experience would be beneficial.
