Location: Northampton, mainly across Northamptonshire Partnership Homes properties
Rate: £16.23–£18.35 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm (30-minute break)
Contract: Temporary
DBS: Basic DBS required
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required

About the Role

Northamptonshire Partnership Homes is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Plumber to join its Repairs team.

The main focus of the role will be carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties, primarily in Northampton. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake a range of other multi-skilled repairs as part of the wider repairs service.

You will be working directly in residents’ homes, so excellent customer service and professional communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of plumbing repairs and maintenance to a high standard.
  • Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults efficiently.
  • Undertake a variety of multi-skilled repairs alongside plumbing work.
  • Work safely and professionally within occupied properties.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents.
  • Complete repairs efficiently and maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Use PDA/mobile technology to update and record completed work.
  • Manage materials and equipment required to complete jobs.
  • Travel between properties using a company vehicle.

Essential Experience & Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Plumber.
  • Strong practical plumbing and repair skills.
  • Previous experience working within social housing or occupied residential properties.
  • Experience undertaking additional multi-skilled maintenance/repair work.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to use IT systems, particularly PDA/mobile technology.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Basic DBS check.
