Multi Trade Plumber

JOB PURPOSE:

To carry out all aspects of a fully qualified Plumber in tenant’s and client’s
premises, both internal and external to a high level of proficiency. With
additional skills across other trades.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• To operate across the Repairs Service, carrying out full a range of response
repairs, as well as planned works and voids.

• Offer an excellent level of customer service – be respectful, positive, polite, on time
and listen to the needs of residents.

• To co-ordinate a range of work activities to ensure performance targets are
attained.

• To carry out works within strict timescales and budgets, recommending and
seeking approval from Supervisors as required to vary works.

• Comply with and British Standards, manufacturers requirements, specifications,
legislation, policy and procedure

• To use PDA equipment competently to record works carried out in real time. To
ensure the safety of oneself and others at all times by working within the councils
Health and Safety policy and procedures associated with repair works.

• To supervise and mentor Apprentices if required following appropriate training.
This includes completing written progress reports for Managers.

• To use and maintain a company vehicle/own vehicle as required to fulfil daily work
activities in line with the Councils driver policy.

• Ensure all work is carried out safely, in accordance with our code of conduct with
respect to our residents and their homes whenever working in or outside of the
property.

• Inform your supervisor where necessary materials are required for works to be
carried out in a single visit

• Carry out works to the requirements and obligations to the Health and Safety at
work Act and all specific Health and Safety polices required by the Council. Wear
appropriate clothing, ID, uniform and PPE for specific tasks.

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times by the use of dust sheets and/or
boot covers and leave properties and a clean, compliant and safe condition.

Pay rate: £27.84 per hour umbrella

Three to six months contract with view to extend or make permanent
