Location: Shute End, Wokingham, Berkshire, RG40 1BN, United Kingdom

Work Pattern: Carry out face to face assessments in schools and settings reports written at home – 37 hour a week
PAYE Pay Rate: £468.20 per day

Main Purpose of the Role

Complete high-quality Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs) for children and young people, providing clear psychological advice to support the Local Authority’s SEND statutory duties.

Typical Day

  • Complete face-to-face EHC needs assessments.
  • Visit schools, families and other relevant settings.
  • Gather information from parents, teachers and professionals.
  • Analyses assessment information and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Write concise EHCNA reports within the required 5-week timescale.
  • Submit reports for quality assurance.
  • Manage an independent caseload and meet deadlines.

  • Strong IT skills and accurate record keeping.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology.
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience as a practicing Educational Psychologist.
  • Experience completing EHC needs assessments.
  • Ability to produce high-quality psychological advice and reports.
  • Clean UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes.
  • Enhanced DBS check for working with children.
