Work Pattern: 37.5 hours weekly (Mon – Fri)
PAYE Pay Rate: £16.35 per hour
Main Purpose of the Role
To provide personalised one-to-one employment support to people who face significant barriers to finding work, such as mental health conditions, disabilities, homelessness, abuse or additional learning needs.
The role is to understand each participant’s needs, skills and employment goals, provide advice and coaching, help them overcome barriers, and support them into suitable and sustainable employment. You will also work with employers, health professionals and other organizations to create opportunities and provide ongoing support once someone starts work.
Key Skills / Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of participants
- Provide one-to-one employment support
- Help with CVs, job applications and interviews
- Identify suitable jobs and training
- Support people with mental health, disabilities and other barriers
- Work with employers and partner organizations
- Provide in-work support
- Maintain accurate records
- Meet employment targets

- Meet and support participants
- Discuss employment goals and barriers

- Search for suitable vacancies
- Contact employers and partner services
- Update case records
- Follow up with people who have started work
- DBS check
