Job Details

Work Pattern: 35 hours per week, (Mon – Fri)

PAYE Pay Rate: £169.68 per day 

Main Purpose of the Role

To investigate and enforce environmental crime across the borough, including fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling, abandoned vehicles and other environmental offences. The role involves gathering evidence, issuing Fixed Penalty Notices, taking enforcement action and preparing cases for prosecution where required.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Investigate fly-tipping, littering and dog fouling
  • Investigate abandoned and untaxed vehicles
  • Issue Fixed Penalty Notices
  • Gather evidence using CCTV and cameras
  • Prepare prosecution cases and witness statements
  • Manage a caseload and meet targets
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Deal with residents and businesses
  • Work with Council teams and external agencies
