Work Pattern: 3-4 days a week in office

PAYE Pay Rate: £200.49 per day

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide high-quality executive and project support to the Assistant Chief Executive of Strategy & Communities, helping to coordinate strategic priorities, projects and programmed across the Council.

The role will ensure key meetings, actions, projects and deadlines are effectively managed, while providing accurate information, briefings and support to enable senior leaders to make informed decisions.

A Typical Day

No two days will be the same. You may be:

  • Managing the Assistant Chief Executive’s diary and coordinating meetings.
  • Preparing agendas, reports, presentations and briefing notes.
  • Attending leadership or programme meetings and tracking actions and decisions.
  • Updating project plans, risks, issues and key milestones.
  • Liaising with senior officers, elected members, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Carrying out research and analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Coordinating workshops, engagement activities or programme events.
  • Following up actions and identifying potential issues before they become problems.
  • Supporting improvements to processes and ways of working.

Essential Qualifications

  • A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent level of experience in project management, business administration, public sector management or a related field.
  • Evidence of relevant experience supporting senior leaders and/or coordinating projects and programmes.
