Job Details
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week
PAYE Pay Rate: £30.13 per hour
Main Purpose
To carry out social work duties to assess, safeguard and support children, develop care plans and support packages, and promote the welfare of children.
Typical Day
- Complete initial and core assessments.
- Develop care plans and support packages.
- Manage cases involving Looked After Children.
- Work with children subject to Care and Support Protection Plans.
- Undertake care proceedings.
- Maintain accurate case records on Care First.
- Work with families, professionals and partner agencies.
- Follow Wales Safeguarding Procedures and Pembrokeshire Child Care Procedures.

- Case management and record keeping.
- Multi-agency working.
- Knowledge of Welsh safeguarding procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Social Work qualification and relevant registration.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Experience of assessments and care planning.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding.
- Experience with statutory children’s social work.
- Knowledge of Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
- Care First experience is desirable.
