Main Purpose

To provide health & safety and CDM advice across the Council, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a strong safety culture.

Typical Day

• Provide CDM 2015 advice on construction projects.
• Conduct health & safety audits and inspections.
• Carry out risk assessments.
• Monitor health & safety compliance and performance.
• Develop policies, guidance and improvement plans.
• Work with contractors and project managers.
• Report findings to senior management.
• Support health & safety projects and claims.

Essential Requirements

• Health & safety advisory experience.
• Experience with CDM on construction projects.
• Experience conducting audits and inspections.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
• Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, including Maths and English.
