Work Pattern: 37 hour per week
PAYE Pay Rate: £15.16 per hour
Main Purpose
To carry out street cleansing and environmental maintenance across Thurrock, helping keep public areas clean, safe and well maintained.
Typical Day
- Drive and operate NLGV vehicles and mechanical sweepers.
- Carry out litter picking, sweeping and fly-tipping removal.
- Empty litter and dog waste bins.
- Use equipment such as blowers and strimmers.
- Complete vehicle and equipment checks.
- Record work using handheld/in-cab digital systems.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Follow health & safety procedures.

Essential Requirements
- Category B driving licence.
- Experience driving non-LGV vehicles.
- Experience using mechanical sweepers or similar equipment.
- Experience working to cleansing standards and schedules.
- Able to undertake physical outdoor work in all weather.
- Basic digital skills.
- Good communication and ability to work independently.
- Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
