OR21735 – Head 0f Campaigns and Internal Communications

Job Details

• Southwark Council is looking for an interim Head of Campaigns and Internal Communications for an initial three month period, which could be extended further.
• The role holder will lead a team of eight people working across campaigns, marketing, channel management and internal communication.
• The successful role holder will be expected to work at least three days in the council’s headquarters in Tooley Street (London Bridge).
• The Council is looking for someone with significant experience of working in a local or central government communications environment in a managerial role who understands strategic communications, channel growth and campaign management.
• With the local elections around the corner, political understanding and dealing with elected members will also be needed to be successful in the role.
• Day rate – Maximum £500. CV’s in the first instance. Interviews will be organised for the  first week in February and we are looking for someone available from the start of March.

2 days remote, 3 days in the office
