About the Role
We are looking for a committed and compassionate Restorative Justice Practitioner to join our Youth Justice Service.
In this role, you will support children and young people who have offended, while also working closely with victims to repair harm and promote positive outcomes. You will deliver restorative justice interventions, helping individuals understand the impact of their actions and reduce reoffending.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver restorative justice interventions, including meetings, conferences, and group work
- Assess suitability of cases and complete reports in line with court and service deadlines
- Support and engage victims, ensuring their voice is heard throughout the process
- Facilitate Youth Offender Panels and contribute to intervention planning
- Carry out risk assessments and ensure safeguarding of all involved
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, staff, and volunteers
- Deliver training and promote restorative justice principles across services
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and performance data
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about working with young people and victims
- Skilled in communication, mediation, and relationship-building
- Able to manage complex and sensitive cases
- Organised, with strong report-writing and record-keeping skills
- Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Flexible and able to work occasional evenings or weekends
