We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead a key area within Children’s Social Care. You will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality services that achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families, while leading teams and driving continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage teams, providing supervision, support, and performance oversight
- Ensure services are safe, effective, and compliant with statutory requirements
- Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure timely responses to referrals
- Monitor performance, manage targets, and drive service improvement
- Manage budgets and ensure effective use of resources
- Work collaboratively with partners including health, education, and social care
- Contribute to strategic planning and service development
Requirements:
- Significant experience in children’s social care, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
- Proven ability to manage teams and deliver high-quality services
- Experience working in multi-agency environments
- Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Relevant social work qualification (or equivalent experience)
