We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead a key area within Children’s Social Care. You will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality services that achieve positive outcomes for children, young people, and families, while leading teams and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage teams, providing supervision, support, and performance oversight
  • Ensure services are safe, effective, and compliant with statutory requirements
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure timely responses to referrals
  • Monitor performance, manage targets, and drive service improvement
  • Manage budgets and ensure effective use of resources
  • Work collaboratively with partners including health, education, and social care
  • Contribute to strategic planning and service development

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in children’s social care, including leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
  • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver high-quality services
  • Experience working in multi-agency environments
  • Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
  • Relevant social work qualification (or equivalent experience)
