Performance and Intelligence Service Manager

Tameside MBC are looking for a Performance and Intelligence Service Manager on a one year contract – full time!

You will be working in Children Services alongside the Special Education Needs team to help, access, improve services design with the aim to improve children’s lives.

You will need previous experience in a similar analytical role. You should have experience of delivering BI, performance and intelligence projects on time.

Understanding of Children’s Services is a big plus!

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To identify the need for and lead intelligence initiatives, scoping and producing reports, briefing notes and other and supporting materials.
2. To work with senior officers and members to identify performance issues. To interpret legislation and develop performance activity to support compliance with key legislation and national, regional and local policy developments.
3. To drive the development of an intelligence lead approach to the development, delivery and commissioning of services.
4. To deliver against statutory and non-statutory reporting requirements.
5. To support the delivery of Tameside’s Children’s Services Improvement Plan including through the use of data and analytics to develop effective services.
6. To support the delivery of the SEND Improvement Plan.
7. To work with IT colleagues to develop and procure software systems to support the development of an intelligence led approach to services and commissioning.
8. To work with IT colleagues on the development of data warehouse and data analytics to drive improvement and understanding of key issues across the organisation.
9. To build and support a team in driving forward and intelligence led approach to the development of policy, delivery and commissioning of services.
10. To undertake research and analysis, and prepare briefing notes and reports as and when required.
11. To work independently as a self starter taking responsibility for developing and work programme for the function delivering a number of key objectives.
12. To lead the development of a data warehouse and data analytics to drive improvement and understanding of key issues across the organisation.
13. To contribute to the process of continuous development and improvement of systems necessary for the effective delivery of the Unit’s service.
14. To implement the Council’s Equality and Health and Safety policies.
15. To undertake such job related duties as may be required from time to time which are commensurate with the grade of the post.
16. To deal fairly and openly with colleagues at all times.

Pay rate: up to £40 per hour umbrella

One year contract with view to extend or make permanent
