Plasterer

Job Purpose

To carry out high-quality plastering repairs and restoration works within occupied tenant properties as part of the Disrepair and Condensation, Damp and Mould (CMD) teams. The role involves delivering safe, efficient, and professional plastering services while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plastering repairs within tenants’ homes.
  • Complete plastering works associated with disrepair cases.
  • Undertake plastering repairs following damp and mould remediation works.
  • Prepare surfaces by removing damaged plaster and ensuring areas are ready for reinstatement.
  • Apply plaster finishes to walls and ceilings to a high standard.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment within occupied properties.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with tenants, explaining work where required.
  • Report any additional repairs or health and safety concerns identified during visits.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Time-served Plasterer or equivalent proven trade experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
  • Manual Handling certification.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Experience working within occupied residential properties.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within social housing or property maintenance.
  • Experience carrying out plastering repairs related to damp and mould remediation.
  • Knowledge of responsive repairs and disrepair processes.

Working Environment

  • Field-based role working across occupied residential properties.
  • Regular travel between tenant homes.
  • Use of company vehicle (where applicable).
  • Compliance with all health and safety and safeguarding requirements.
