The Project is an entry-to-employment scheme for disadvantaged school-leavers (16-21yrs old), providing opportunities to learn skills, experience and confidence in a small, supported work-team.
The Project employs a small team of trainees, carrying out a range of practical, manual tasks as required by local organisations and companies. During a period of approx. 6 months, trainees receive personal mentoring and skills training for working qualifications.
The initial contract is for 6 months, extendable on a monthly basis.

Main duties:
- Landscaping and beach maintenance
- Maintenance of gardens, parks and similar areas
- Grounds-keeping, gardening, forestry & agricultural works
- Highway & footpath maintenance
- Construction and repair of fencing, walls and gates etc
- Repair and refurbishment of buildings
- Remedial shrubbery and foliage activity, habitat development etc
- Maintain the safety of self and others in the workplace
- Participate in the training associated with the post
- Carry out other tasks and duties as determined by the Project Supervisor
