Job Details

Job Purpose:

1. Provide a high quality, resourcing recruitment service by undertaking initial recruitment briefings with hiring managers in conjunction with utilising and proactively sourcing candidates for specific roles.
2. Building relationships with internal customers and a range of partners to deliver an efficient and effective service.
3. Support the management and delivery of effective recruitment and selection services including advertising jobs, utilising our advertising platform to ensure that recruitment campaigns are delivered to the highest standards, coordinating and participating in selection procedures.
4. Assist with the implementation and monitoring of service standards relating to recruitment and selection and produce monitoring reports.
5. Support the Resources & Business Co-ordinator to regularly review recruitment and selection procedures and practices to ensure their continued effectiveness.

6. To lead recruitment campaigns and advise hiring managers on policy.
7. Support senior management appointments and deliver a tailored service to departments.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

1. Undertake initial recruitment briefing meetings to provide specialist advice on best use of advertising methods and campaign statistics.
2. Provide clear and consistent advice to managers on all aspects of the employment relationship.
3. Identifies and implement ways to attract high-quality candidates who share our values.
4. Deliver high quality cost effective recruitment and selection services to internal and external customers; undertaking and supporting recruitment projects and assignments on behalf of specific Council departments.
5. Deliver the provision of an integrated recruitment service and ensure that selection processes, including Assessment Centres maintain high professional standards and are fair/equitable.
6. Contribute, through an agreed Service Development Plan, to set appropriate objectives and targets, maintain performance against targets, and maintain effective project management systems.
7. Support the delivery of high quality cost effective recruitment and assessment services to internal and external customers.
8. The collection, collation and analysis of recruitment monitoring information, including national and local performance indicators, data analysis and production of reports.
9. Provide administrative support to a range of projects, events and work streams; including recruitment and selection seminars, conferences, exhibitions, workshops and activities relating to the Council’s graduate development programme.

SO1 Duties

10. Managing senior appointments, including advertising, preparing job packs and managing the interview panels and any associated assessments.
11. Support the Resourcing & Business Co-ordinator by suggesting improvements to systems and processes.
12. Prepare and deliver learning and development packages to customers on systems and procedures, in discussion with the Resourcing & Business Co-ordinator.
13. Liaise with customers and manage casework.

Other Accountabilities and Responsibilities (at both grade levels)

14. Report any suspected fraud and provide information for any investigation which may result.
15. Support the development of the HR Business Plan and business and financial systems including delegations, policies, systems and procedures, standards, risk management, performance and financial management and the monitoring and evaluating of service delivery to ascertain whether customer needs are met and to ensure ongoing development and improvement of the shared services.

Pay rate: £23.80 per hour umbrella

Three to six months contract with view to extend or make permanent
